Road Closures

There will be street closures in the vicinity during the tournament. Driving is strongly discouraged.

Toronto offers excellent transit options, making it easy to reach Liberty Village watch parties,  Toronto Stadium and fan zone celebrations. TTC subway, streetcars, and buses connect city neighbourhoods. Cycling and walking are encouraged.

There will be road closures and traffic restrictions near event areas including Exhibition Place, Liberty Village and Fort York to support pedestrian safety and event operations.

  • Planned and temporary road closures and restrictions will be in place on key streets such as Strachan Avenue, Dufferin Street, Fleet Street, parts of Lake Shore Boulevard, and within Liberty Village.

  • Street closures are for both automobiles, as well as bicycles. Cyclists must dismount and walk, a normal practice for all major event road closures where there are many pedestrians.

  • Local access will be preserved for residents and businesses with clear signage and vehicle identification.

  • Portable, variable message signs, traffic agents and route diversions will support real-time traffic flow.

During the tournament, parking will be limited, and there will be no designated regular parking for spectators. 

During usual operations, Toronto has an existing parking infrastructure that is available within the vicinity of the Toronto Stadium and sites. This consists of parking lots within the Exhibition Place Grounds (not available for the tournament), as well as on-street and off-street parking that is available within a three-kilometre radius (on-street parking will be limited).

Additional parking restrictions will also be implemented on match days to support traffic management and traffic flow within key downtown corridors. This change from usual operations to tournament-time parking. Driving to the tournament is discouraged.

Exhibition Place Parking

There are a total of 11 parking lots located within Exhibition Place, including two underground lots beneath the Enercare Centre and Hotel X. These parking lots service buildings and facilities located within Exhibition Place Grounds. During Tournament time, accessible spectator parking will be provided near Toronto Stadium at Lot 851.
