1st Annual Liberty Village BIA Holiday Bash

LVBIA’s First Annual Holiday Bash was a success!

The evening of holiday cheer began at The Carpet Factory, where the Yonge Guns Quartet gracefully caroled with a crowd of our ugly-sweater wearing members. On site, Beanfield kindly provided hot chocolate and apply cider to warm us up before our stroll! Next, we strolled over to The Fueling Station, Liberty Market and the final stop for the celebrations at Brazenhead Irish Pub. Noteable classics were sung: “All I want for Christmas is You”, “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer” and Liberty Village BIA’s own, “Liberty Village BIA Jingle Bells”!

At Brazenhead Pub, the evening began with Yonge Guns Quartet singing festive tunes. Our MC for the evening, Arian Ebrahimi from KASE Insurance, welcomed guests and launched the Ugly Sweater Contest, as food & drink were served.

The Ugly Sweater Contest began with our judges, Libby Garg from Freshii, Chris Wilkins from EdgeInteractive and Greta & Geoff Black from Carnaby’s Bespoke Jewellery, taking notes on Ugly Sweaters for Individuals and Teams. After much contemplation, they found the ugliest sweaters most deserving of prizes!

Team Winners:

  1. Ugliest Sweaters: The Carpet Factory
  2. Uglier Sweaters: HJC
  3. Ugly Sweaters: Beanfield Group

Congratulations Team Winners!!

A big thank you to everyone who came out for a night of fun and games! Also, thank you for your support: The Carpet Factory, The Fueling Station, Beanfield & Brazenhead Pub!

See you next year for the Second Annual Holiday Bash!

‘Happy Holidays & Happy New Year’!

Liberty Village BIA welcomes Mayor Tory for breakfast

Liberty Village BIA welcomes Mayor Tory for breakfast

On October 12, Mayor John Tory met over breakfast with members of the Liberty
Village BIA Board of Management and LVBIA members to talk about his upcoming
SmartTrack initiatives in the area. First Capital Realty hosted more than 25 Liberty
Village business leaders and members of the media to discuss everything from better
transit to infrastructure in Toronto’s Innovation Hub!

Beanfield is Granted Naming Rights

Beanfield will soon be seen from the Go Trains and from the Gardiner Expressway as employees head into Liberty Village on their daily commutes. Effective March 1, 2017, the current Allstream Centre will be rebranded and renamed to the Beanfield Centre. On January 10th, 2017, it was officially announced by Exhibition Place of this exciting new partnership.

Outstanding Community Work

We all know Beanfield are amazing folks with big hearts and innovative technology. Creating their roots here in Liberty Village and still calling it home as they grow is really special. The LVBIA is always extremely appreciative of their continued ongoing support and sponsorship of our annual Give Me Liberty Event.

On the residents’ side of Liberty Village, they have helped light up the park during the holidays. In the summer, they set help set up and host 3 movie nights in the park bringing hundreds of people out to enjoy a flick and the company of one another.

Beyond Liberty Village

LV - Beanfield Office
Beanfield is expanding its footprint throughout Toronto.

Many more neighbourhoods are now able to receive the reliable networks and amazing customer service we have come to expect beyond Liberty Village. Beanfield won the contract to provide the network infrastructure for the 2015 Pan Am Games. Another notable area that they are helping to connect is the Waterfront Toronto which will include the future development of the Waterfront Development Centre. Residential service is also expanding.

Allstream Centre Becomes the Beanfield Centre

Beanfield Centre

As of March 1, 2017, the Allstream centre will transition its identity to become the Beanfield Centre. The press release issued by Exhibition Place states, “…Toronto City Council has approved a multi-year sponsorship agreement between Exhibition Place and Beanfield Metroconnect for the title sponsorship of the conference venue to be called Beanfield Centre”. notes that the conference venue is LEED Silver certified and is 160000 square feet.

A big congratulations is in order for Beanfield on this fantastic feat!
